Verastarr StarrDamp CSVerastarr StarrDamp CS is a component resonance, and vibration damping material. It is very thin pure copper, with a layer of vibration damping compound. The sheets are adhesive backed for easy application. You simply open up your chassis, and place the sheets wherever there is room to place them on the sheet metal. The added mass will greatly reduce vibration and resonance of the chassis for greater detail in your music. Try placing your hand on the side of your components while playing music, and feel the vibration in the chassis yourself. Those vibrations degrade low level detail, and “cloud” the sound. By applying StarrDamp CS to the inside of your components, it actually “deadens” the sheet metal from vibration. If you place your hand on your component after the application of StarrDamp CS, you will see there is a profound reduction in vibration. In addition to the damping properties outlined, StarrDamp CS is superior since the metal used is pure Copper. Copper, as you may or may not know, shields from interference, and is non-magnetic. Some of the worlds highest quality components use an all Copper chassis for this reason. By having any amount of Copper inside the chassis, you reduce the level of interference affecting the electronics. Caig Labs Input/Output Detail KitMost of the time we do not pay any attention to the actual condition of our RCA/XLR inputs or outputs. Over the years dust, contaminants, oils and oxidation slowly degrade the signal performance at the connector interface. Verastarr has put together a premium kit in which to restore and protect your jacks for the life of your equipment. First you must remove all the contaminants by using the included Caig Labs De-Ox it. This uses a solvent based cleaner and deoxidizer to clean as well as prepare the Jacks. Also included in the kit is a special brush for cleaning inside the cylinder of your your jacks. After that is done, use the cotton cloth provided to clean the outside of the jacks thoroughly. The final step is to apply Caig labs Pro-Gold conditioner and contact enhancer to the surfaces. Use the additional small swab provided to apply Pro Gold inside the jacks, as well as the outer shell of the jack. This will enhance the conductivity of the jack and protect it from further oxidation. Now you have fully cleaned and conditioned jacks that will perform better than new! This process is a tested and proven method of restoring maximum electrical conductivity to your jacks. May also be used on XLR and video inputs/outputs, binding posts, IEC socket and power cords. Cardas Audio CapsCardas Audio Caps fit over unused female/male connectors in your system to eliminate EMI and RF noise absorption. Unlike traditional shorting plugs, these caps do not short the inputs (many pre amps do not like having their inputs shorted). Another difference is that Cardas Caps completely cover the input with a solid shield of nickel and brass to prevent both EMI and RFI from entering the chassis through the port. This is a more elegant and probably more effective solution than either shorting plugs or wrapping the plug in aluminum foil. The caps also protect against dust and corrosion. |

Selectronic Grand MosThe GRAND MOS amplifier comes complete in kit form and includes all components as well as a magnificent, detailed instruction manual. The box is pre-drilled and machine-finished. Assembly presents no special difficulty. All you need are a few tools and a good digital multimeter. Wiring is reduced to a minimum. Connections between boards are made using large section single conductor wire and screw connectors which are silvered throughout to avoid current loss.
